Adele Mulrennan Career
Adele thought she was ready to ride professionally after considerable training, but Harvey Smith thought she was too little to jump. Instead, Harvey sent her to trainer Richard Fahey, where she trained for a full summer. She subsequently became Mick Easterby’s apprentice, and it was not long before she was competing in local contests and riding professionally.
She later worked for the late trainer Dandy Nicholls, where she won the majority of her races. In 2008, she competed in the Scottish Sprint Cup, where she won her first race on the Masta Plasta. Adele married and had her daughter Scarlett after years as a professional rider with over 100 rides and 12 wins. She rode while pregnant at first, but after giving birth, she formally quit to raise her daughter and support her rider husband.
Adele kept a lookout for any riding tasks she could participate in while at home, and it was not long before she secured a job at Go Racing In Yorkshire. Before taking the position full-time, she worked for Racing TV and the Jockey Education Training Scheme, where she received intense media training to prepare her for work in front of the camera.
Mulrennan then started working as a full-time presenter for Go Racing In Yorkshire before joining ITV Racing a few months later. She currently juggles both jobs while also making special guest appearances on various horse racing programs both locally and nationally.
