Alan Titchmarsh Biography
Alan Titchmarsh is an English Television presenter, novelist, poet, and gardener. Throughout the years, Titchmarsh has been featured in various television gardening programs. Presently, he presents Love Your Garden that airs on ITV since its debut in 2011.
Additionally, Alan presents other programs such as Love Your Home and Garden, and Secrets of the National Trust among others. He published his first novel titled Only Dad in November 2001 and has since then released a series of gardening guides, the How to Garden series. In addition to his numerous commitments, Titchmarsh has launched a wide range of gardening tools, developed in conjunction with manufacturer Bulldog Tools.
During his free time, Titchmarsh enjoys participating in charity work and serves as the president of the Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Societ popularly known as Perennial which is one of the UK’s oldest charities created to assist gardeners and horticulturists during hard times. He has a wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s, a wax museum founded in 1835 by Wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. During his free time, Titchmarsh likes spending time in the garden, reading, and traveling.
