He began his career as a correspondent for a daily national high school television news program and on Channel One News. Brian then served in Ontario, California for KHSC-TV as a host and an anchor. Kilmeade additionally co-hosted all-sports radio network on XTRA-AM (KLSD-XTRA 1360 Fox Sports San Diego) and Jim Brown Show. In 1993, Brian joined Jim Brown for the inaugural Ultimate Fighting Championship as part of the announcing team and conducting post-fight interviews.
