Carter Evans is an American journalist currently working as a Los Angeles-based correspondent for CBS News. Prior to joining the TV station in October 2012, Carter worked as a freelance reporter for KCBS/KCAL.

Before, he worked as a business correspondent for CNN for four years. Prior to that, Carter worked as a reporter for WWOR TV 9 for one year. He started his career journey in 1995 when he worked as a freelance correspondent for KGMB, the CBS affiliate in Honolulu, Hawaii.
