Chase Wyatt Blackburn is a well-known retired American football linebacker who is presently working for the Los Angeles Rams as the special teams coordinator in the National Football League (NFL). In 2005 Chase was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants. When Chase was playing for the Giants, he won two Super Bowl titles which were both against the New England Patriots. Chase was a college football player at Akron.

In 2005 an unselected recruit for the New York Giants, Chase spent most of the season as a special teamer and backup linebacker. Chase had a 31-yard interception return for a touchdown off of Mark Brunell in Week 16 in the 35–20 loss. Before Chase went on injured reserve, he played in 15 games.

On March 27, 2013, Chase was signed by the Carolina Panthers to a two-year contract. In 2013 Chase played a part in Carolina’s defense, complementing Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis with 2 stuffs and 33 tackles in the playoffs and regular season. Chase became a free agent on March 10, 2015.

Chase was brought in as a special team coaching intern during the off-season before the 2016 season. Chase was elevated to the special teams assistant to special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey on August 14, 2016.
