Dalton was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 2023 NFL Draft after trading up with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He became the first tight end taken in the draft and the only one drafted in the first round. In Week 8, he made his first career touchdown reception, a 22-yard pass from Josh Allen. He completed the game with five catches for 65 yards as the Bills defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-18.
