Dave Rubin is an author, talk show host, YouTube celebrity, and political pundit from the United States. He founded, and now hosts, The Rubin Report, a political talk show on YouTube and the BlazeTV network. Dave debuted his show, which was formerly part of the TYT Network, in 2013.
He did, however, leave the show in 2015, owing to growing ideological disputes. Dave formerly presented LGBT-themed discussion shows such as The Ben and Dave Show, which he hosted from 2007 to 2008. From 2009 to 2012, he also presented The Six Pack show. Dave co-hosted both shows with Ben Harvey. While a member of The Young Turks, Dave felt himself to be progressive.
However, after witnessing progressive commentator Cenk Uygur criticizing Fox News commentator David Webb, Ben Affleck confronting Bill Maher and Sam Harris over their views on Islam, and the political left’s response to the Charlie Hebdo shooting, the journalist’s views began to change. Dave has since characterized himself as a classical liberal. He later identified as a conservative. He has emerged as a vocal opponent of progressivism, the Democratic Party, and the political left.

In 1998, he began his comedic career by performing stand-up and attending open mics in New York City. Dave began working as an intern for Jon Stewart on The Daily Show in 1999. In 2000, he continued his career at the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Later the same year, he collaborated with other Comedy Cellar comedians to develop The Anti-Show, a public-access television series parodying a news show.
The show was surreptitiously taped at NBC Studios at Rockefeller Plaza at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.He co-founded a number of comedy clubs in New York City in 2002, including Joe Franklin’s Comedy Club and The Comedy Company in Times Square, where he gave stand-up performances until 2007.
