During his true freshman season in 2017, he began five games with the UT-Martin Skyhawks and passed for one interception, 744 passing yards, and five touchdowns. Before Dresser suffered an injury that would have him sit out for the remainder of the season he played in and began seven games during the 2018 season. Dresser completed the season with completing 154 out of 234 passing attempts for nine interceptions, 1,601 yards, and 12 passing touchdowns. Dresser was redshirted and played in two games during the 2019 season. Dresser completed the season by finishing five out of nine passing attempts for 59 yards.

Dresser played in four games at quarterback during the 2020 season and before suffering a season-ending injury he was the team’s primary punter. Dresser completed the season by completing six out of 11 passing attempts for 30 yards.
