Gethin Jones Biography
Gethin Jones is a well-known Welsh television broadcaster who played rugby union at Manchester Metropolitan University. Following graduation, Gethin began his television career as a presenter of children’s shows on the Welsh language channel S4C, including Popty, Mas Draw, and the flagship children’s entertainment show Uned 5 (Unit 5, 2002-2005).
He became the 31st presenter of the BBC children’s program Blue Peter in 2005. Gethin began presenting the BBC1 five-morning-a-week magazine show Morning Live from Manchester studios in 2020. Following a trial run that will finish in December 2020, the program has been commissioned as an all-year-round feature of the BBC1 schedule.
He appeared as a guest on This Morning with Gloria Hunniford in February 2011. He hosted the ITV gameshow Holding Out For a Hero in the autumn of 2011.
