He went on to act on stage across Canada after graduating in 1982, from Ottawa’s National Arts Centre to Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre and the Stratford Festival. By the late 1980s, he had established himself as a notable Canadian actor. His career began in musicals at Humberside Collegiate Institute in Toronto, when he was directed by Janet Keele. In Choices of the Heart: The Margaret Sanger Story, he played the title character’s husband.
The Boys of St. Vincent, The Ice Storm, and The Michelle Apartments, Mission: Impossible, Clear and Present Danger, are among the films in which he has appeared. He portrayed the primary antagonist “Yuri the Trainer who Trains” in the 2006 comedy The Pink Panther.
He played Lieutenant Brooks in the 2005 episode “Jackpot” of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He portrays Walsch in the film Conversations with God, which is based on the true life of Neale Donald Walsch. In 2007, he played the Duke of Norfolk in the Showtime series The Tudors.
