In 2010, He teamed up with Dan Fouts and made the number three broadcast team coverage for CBS’ NFL. In the 2014 season, this team of two was elevated to the number two team behind Phil Simms and Jim Nantz. Later on, Dan parted ways with NFL and CBS playoff expansion to an extra playoff game including CBS gaining rights.

As a result, the network paired former Fox analysts Charles Davis and Ian during the 2020 offseason. Currently, the duo calls one of the Divisional Games in even years as we as CBS’s Wild Card games every year.
