This is all you need to know about Jack Edwards, a popular American sports commentator who has been working on NESN television as a play-by-play commentator for Boston Bruins games since 2005. Jack served as a play-by-play commentator for their NHL, MLS, Little League Baseball, and 2002 FIFA World Cup broadcasts and an anchor for their sports news program SportsCenter for ESPN from 1991 to 2003. Jack worked as a commentator for the Konami soccer video game MLS Extra Time in 2002.

Jack’s career commenced working for the University of New Hampshire hockey team as a play-by-play announcer. Thereafter, Jack worked in Manchester, New Hampshire at WMUR-TV and WGIR radio as a play-by-play and sports anchor. Jack served in Boston as a talk radio host for WRKO during the early 1980s and in Providence as a weekend anchor at WJAR-TV.

Subsequently, Jack worked in Boston as a sports reporter position at WCVB-TV. Furthermore, Jack worked for ESPN as a freelance play-by-play announcer while also serving at WCVB-TV. Also, Jack worked for ABC’s coverage of alpine skiing at the 1988 Winter Olympics as a reporter. Jack served for Boston’s WNEV-TV and WHDH-TV as the weekend sports anchor in 1988.

Edwards started calling all Bruins games at the beginning of the 2007–08 NHL season and since then he has been the team’s local play-by-play commentator.
