Farrell’s career began in 2003 when she accepted a position as a guest designer on the HGTV show Outer Spaces. She only spent a few months at Outer Spaces before joining Lifetime Television as an on-air designer and co-host of the show Merge. She departed Lifetime in 2005 to work as a lifestyle expert for the USA Network for a few months.

During the same year, she presented Fox Television’s Design Intervention and served as the on-air designer for the network’s other show, Renovate My Family. Jennifer joined Garrett Interiors in 2005 as Senior Designer and stayed for four years until leaving in 2009.

She worked as an on-air designer for the Style Network’s My Celebrity Home show in 2006. She also hosted several A&E Television Network shows, including Point, Click, Design, Find & Design, and The Big Fix. She departed A&E in 2009 to become a design expert on ABC Entertainment’s The View.

In September 2011, she began working as an on-air designer on the Oprah Winfrey Network’s show, Home Made Simple. She was at the network for slightly more than three years before leaving in 2014. She joined the Hallmark Channel’s two-hour daily show, Home and Family, in October 2012, to lend her lifestyle and design skills.

Jennifer is currently focusing on her firm, Jennifer Farrell Designs, which she launched in 2002.
