Joe Furey is an eminent American meteorologist currently serving at WTNH News 8( ABC-affiliated) based in  New Haven, Connecticut, the United States as the Co-Chief meteorologist. Joe also anchors the 11 pm newscasts as well as broadcasts the weather from 5 pm to 6 pm.  In October 2017, He became part of the station’s weather team. In addition, Joe anchors at WC TX the 8 pm to 10 pm news.

He served under Dr. Mel Goldstein. Later, He moved to Hartford and became the Director of The New England Weather Service. There, Joe did daily weather forecasting for clients such as Northeast Utilities. He has also done various radio station jobs such as WAVZ, KC101, as well as WICC.

His tv career began at NEWS12 Connecticut. Joe then moved to Hartford. One of his favorite weather stories is setting up their weather data recording station when Dr. Mel put Joe in charge, It was a brand new weather station to be set on the roof above the weather office at WCSU’.

A few weeks later, Hurricane Gloria showed up. When the anemometer registered an 83 mph wind gust, they were all excited and smashed on the ground while the team was watching, and then the newly set weather station flew past the window.
