Johny Sequoyah Career
Sequoyah was born in Los Angeles and spent her first eight years in Idaho, where her mother was born. She began acting in independent films at the age of eight. She appeared in Ass Backwards and I Believe in Unicorns in 2013 and 2014. Her father, Russell Friedenberg, directed her in Among Ravens, which was produced by her mother, Heather Rae.
In 2014, she starred in Wind Walkers, a thriller directed by her father. Her most well-known role was that of Bo Adams in the NBC television series Believe. In 2016, she played “Taylor Otto” in the ABC series American Housewife pilot, but she was replaced by Meg Donnelly before the show was picked up by the network.
She joined the cast of Love, Victor, the Hulu sequel series to the 2018 film Love, Simon, in August 2019, playing the role of Mia. However, due to a decision to take the character in a new creative direction, the role was recast with Rachel Naomi Hilson later that month. He appeared as Audrey in the Dexter revival miniseries Dexter: New Blood in 2021.
