In January 2019, she returned to Channel 9 Eyewitness News as a Crimi-certified meteorologist. From 2011 until 2013, she worked at Channel 9’s Severe Weather Center 9. Crimi was born and raised in Minnesota. She was a scientific and math nerd as a kid, and she always knew she wanted to work in science. It wasn’t until she was a student at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL, that she realized what she was missing out on.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the Florida Institute of Technology with Cum Laude honors. Crimi was a member and captain of Florida Tech’s NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball team while there. WAY TO GO PANTHERS! She also had an internship in the Severe Weather Center 9 at WFTV. Now, my internship was not the last time I visited this location.
In January of 2014, my now-husband and I relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico. “The Land of No Humidity,” as I like to call it. A lot happened when she was in New Mexico. Crimi discovered his passion for carne adovada and tamales. She also married, bought a dog, and gave birth to a child. Now that we’re back, Crimi is overjoyed to call Central Florida and WFTV home once more!
