Boddie began his broadcasting career at WHCU, Cornell University’s campus radio station in Ithaca, New York. As he covered university activities for the station, he acquired the broadcasting bug. It piqued people’s interest in politics and government. So, instead of going to law school after graduation, Boddie went back to Rochester, New York, got a job at WDKX radio, and became an event planner.
