Kevin redshirted his true freshman season and two weeks into his redshirt freshman he became the Ragin’ Cajuns right guard. Also, Kevin was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Newcomer Team. After starting all 12 of Louisiana’s games as a redshirt sophomore Kevin was named second-team All-Sun Belt.

After starting 14 games at right guard as a redshirt junior Kevin was named first-team All-Sun Belt. As a redshirt senior, Kevin was again named first-team All-Sun Belt and began all 14 of the Ragin’ Cajuns games. Furthermore, Kevin was named by the Associated Press a first-team All-American and the Sporting News named him to the second team.

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Kevin in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 135th overall. On September 14, 2020, Kevin made his NFL debut against the New York Giants in the season opener, joining the game at right guard to replace Stefen Wisniewski a starter who was injured. Against the Denver Broncos, Kevin made his first career start the following week on September 20, 2020. As the Steelers starting left guard, Kevin joined the 2021 season. Before Kevin suffered an ankle injury in Week 10, he began the first nine games.
