On February 1, 2010, Love was confirmed as one of twelve candidates for season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race. In episode four, she was placed in the bottom two and lost a lip sync battle against Morgan McMichaels to Stacey Q’s “Two of Hearts.” During the reunion show, she disclosed that she is a transsexual woman.
She was one of 30 drag queens who performed for Miley Cyrus at the 2015 Video Music Awards. Sonique danced as a backup dancer for Christina Aguilera at LA Pride in June 2018, with McMichaels and Farrah Moan. On December 7, 2018, she performed in the RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular with seven other Drag Race alumni.
