In January 2012, she began her work as a Reporter at WUFT-FM in Gainesville, Florida. Lisa used news writing software to write news articles for radio broadcasts, conducted in-person and phone interviews with sources and individuals linked to stories, taped stories for transmission, and conducted live news broadcasts until July 2012.

She began working as a Cut-In Anchor and Producer for WUFT in January 2013. She created news reports on the day’s events for two distinct two-minute newscasts and anchored both newscasts, which are broadcast once each hour. She also created the cut-in programs for two distinct two-minute newscasts, exported and edited material to accompany the cast, taped the anchor’s newscast, and assembled the cast for air until May 2013. 

She was hired as an intern at Fox 13 Tampa Bay right away. She shadowed reporters, anchors, and producers to learn more about their daily jobs, acquired sources, did interviews, created news packages, edited and put together her news packages, and practiced stand-ups and live shots until August 2013.

In 2011, she began working as a writer for Her Campus UFL. Lisa authored fashion, health, beauty, and relationship articles and had a style blog until May 2013.
