Before joining ESPN in Connecticut, He worked as a sports reporter at KXAS, an NBC-owned and operated television station in Fort Worth, Texas. Matt has also served as a sports anchor and news reporter at WLTX-TV in Columbia. Barrie while working at the station also co-hosted the Matt and Tim Show.

He started his career at WJFW-TV  located in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he served as the station’s primary Wisconsin Badgers reporter. Additionally, Mike has been a sports reporter and host at KSWO-TV based in Lawton, Okla.
