He attended St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia after growing up in Thunder Bay, then enrolled at the College of Sports Media in Toronto. Because of his experience, he was able to land his first broadcasting job at Thunder Bay Television in his hometown.
He was hired as the weekend weather anchor by CTV Ottawa in 2013 after two years of reporting, anchoring, and living comfortably at home. Since then, he’s done everything from hosting a weekend CFRA radio show to anchoring CTV News at Six and sitting in the stands for the REDBLACKS’ inaugural season. During the week, he can be seen at his desk on CTV News at 5 and 11:30 a.m.
He has always felt a strong sense of civic responsibility. Since moving to Ottawa, he has been involved in a variety of activities and causes, including the Toy Mountain campaign, CHEO, and Ronald McDonald House.
