Michele Marie Marsh was a well-reputed American broadcast journalist best known for her work at two network-owned television stations in New York City from 1979 until 2003. Unfortunately, she passed on October 17, 2017, at the age of 63, following complications of breast cancer at her home in South Kent, Connecticut. She is the late wife of Nargeolet, who was one of five persons killed aboard the submersible Titan when it imploded underwater on June 18, 2023, near the Titanic disaster.

Marsh grew up in a military family in suburban Detroit. Her parents were insurance salesman Howard Marsh and the former Gloria Gadd. She had two brothers, Ronnie, who died at the age of six, and John, who died at the age of twenty-one, both of whom were hemophiliacs, as was Marsh. She was reared in both Philadelphia and the San Diego region. She attended Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California, and later Northwestern University, where she majored in radio and television production or theater.

She began her career at a Maine television station, where she used her toes to run the teleprompter while on the air. She eventually relocated to San Antonio and rose to prominence. Michele began her career as an anchor and journalist for WCBS-TV in New York City in 1979.
By 1980, she was part of a group of women who had anchored all five of the city’s late-night newscasts. She worked as an anchor and correspondent for WCBS for 17 years. In 1996, she was let go following a station reorganization, but she swiftly returned to WNBC as an anchor with Chuck Scarborough.
Michele, on the other hand, quit WNBC in 2003 after losing her anchor position. She died on October 17, 2017, at the age of 63, from complications from breast cancer.
