Monty Don (Full Name: Montagu Denis Wyatt Don OBE VMH) is a renowned British writer, broadcaster, and horticulturist best known as the lead presenter of the BBC gardening television series titled Gardeners’ World.

He made his television debut in 1989 as a regular on This Morning with a gardening segment, which led to further television work across the decade including his own shows for Channel 4 and BBC Television. Monty started his writing career at this time and published his first of over 25 books in the year 1990. He wrote a weekly gardening column in The Observer from 1994 and 2006.
