Nathaniel Hackett is a well-reputed American football coach currently serving as the head coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). Initially, he served as the offensive coordinator for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, and Buffalo Bills as well as several roles for the Syracuse Orange in college football from 2010 to 2012.

After serving as an assistant coach for Stanford and UC Davis, he started his NFL profession in 2006 as a quality coach under Jon Gruden with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hackett worked there for two years prior to moving to the Buffalo Bills in that same position for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Hackett served with quarterbacks such as Chris Simms, Bruce Gradkowski, Jeff Garcia, Brian Brohm, and Ryan Fitzpatrick during those years.

In 2010, he was hired as the quarterbacks and tight ends coach by Syracuse under Doug Marrone who he would later follow to Jacksonville and Buffalo. The next year, Hackett was promoted to offensive coordinator. In 2013, Hackett was brought back to Buffalo as the offensive coordinator after the Bills hired Marrone as their head coach.

After the 2014 season, Marrone opted out of his contract with the Bills and was later hired as an offensive line and assistant head coach by the Jacksonville Jaguars, bringing Hackett with him once again. In 2016, he was promoted from quarterbacks coach to interim offensive coordinator after the previous offensive coordinator, Greg Olson was fired by the Jaguars. Hackett was confirmed in that role in January 2017.

However, Marrone fired Hackett on November 26, 2018, after the Jaguars lost to the Buffalo Bills 24–21. On 14 January 2019, he was hired as the offensive coordinator by the Green Bay Packers under head coach Matt LaFleur. On 27th January 2022, Hackett was hired by the Denver Broncos as their head coach after the team fired their former head coach Vic Fangio.
