Randy Couture Career
Randy Couture joined the United States Army after graduating from high school in 1982. He continued to wrestle while in the service. He wrestled for the Greco-Roman team. Couture was released from the army in 1989.
Randy Couture continued to wrestle just before leaving the service and for several years after leaving the army. He was preparing for the Olympics. He was an alternate for the United States wrestling team in 1988, 1992, and 1996, although he never competed in the Olympic wrestling event. He also finished second in the NCAA in 1991 and 1992. At Oregon State University, he was the wrestling coach. He attended this university till 1997, the first year he was professionally involved in MMA fighting.
His acting career began in 2003 when he played a combatant in Cradle 2 the Grave. He went on to have minor roles in films such as No Rules, Invincible, and Big Stan.
Randy Couture went on to work on various sports television shows after retiring from MMA fighting for the first time. He worked as a television commentator on MMA fights at one of his employment. For a short period, he was also the co-host of Before the Bell and After the Bell. He also coached on the reality show Fight Master: Bellator MMA.
Aside from his sports television shows, he has been on various other shows, including Pros vs. Joes and The King of Queens.
