He started writing a column entitled Digital Rules. In 2014, Rich received an honorary doctorate from Northcentral University. Previously, he worked as the creator at Upside Magazine alongside Anthony B. Perkins.
Upon graduating, he served at Runner’s World magazine as an editorial assistant. Furthermore, he worked for the Electric Power Research Institute as a technical writer.
