Rob Stafford is a renowned American journalist and anchor. Presently, he works at NBC5 WMAQ-TV as an anchor at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts with Allison Rosati in Chicago.
He started working at the news channel on September 23, 2007, as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter. He was raised to the main anchor position in July 2009. Before, he served as a Chicago-based correspondent at NBC’s Dateline NBC newsmagazine show for 11 years.
He was fired from Dateline NBC in a cost-cutting move in 2006. While working at Dateline, he earned two national news Emmy awards. In addition, for his Dateline investigation into racial profiling in 2000, he won the Edward R. Murrow award.
