From 1992 to 2010, he served as a color commentator for University of Hawaii football games on radio and television. He started his radio broadcasting career at KHVH in 1986. In 1987, he landed his first television job as a weekend sports producer at KGMB

In 1987, he started an on-air job as a weekend sports producer at KGMB. Furthermore, he commenced his broadcasting career at the KHVH radio station in 1986. In 2011, Robert was voted the TV play-by-play voice of the Warriors.
