After five years at the BBC, Ali-Khan switched from radio to television in 2005, joining ITV Central. Ali-Khan was a co-host on the East edition of Central Tonight with Steve Clamp until mid-2008, when she went on maternity leave. On February 2, 2009, Ali-Khan returned from maternity leave to co-host the West Midlands edition of the show, which was amalgamated with the East Midlands edition a fortnight later and rebranded ITV Central.
