Sarah I. Farmer Wants a Wife
Farmer Wants a Wife is an American reality television show based on the same-named British show, in which a bachelor farmer chooses a potential loving spouse from a group of ten unmarried city women. On April 30, 2008, the series premiered on The CW network. The flight was canceled on June 25, 2008.
The original American version includes ten females battling for the attention of a bachelor farmer over the course of eight episodes. The format was unusual from prior international editions in this sense. The Missouri communities of St. Charles, Orchard Farm, and Portage des Sioux were used as filming sites in the United States. In March 2023, Fox will telecast a second American remake starring Jennifer Nettles of country music.
Hunter Grayson, 31, of Watkinsville, Ga., Ryan Black, 32, of Shelby, N.C., Landon Heaton, 35, of Alva, Okla., and Allen Foster, 32, of Williamsport, Tenn. star in Jennifer Nettles’ new dating program, based on an international reality concept. Each farmer will bring eight females to his farm for a shot at romance in the midst of cattle, hay, and hard manual labor. (If this seems remotely similar, it’s because the CW ran an American version of Farmer Wants a Wife in 2008.)
So, who are these single women vying for the job of farmer’s wife? They are between the ages of 22 and 39 and hail from cities such as Miami, New York, and Chicago. They have jobs as sommeliers and cyber security analysts, among other things. The first episode of the series, Farmer Wants a Wife, will air on March 8.
