Previously, Scott served as an anchor and reporter in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Area at KOB-TV for one year (1988 – 1989).
Scott worked in Kirksville, MO at KTVO-TV from 1983 to 1985 after graduation. Subsequently, Scott served as a news anchor from 1987 – 1988 in Palm Springs, CA, at KMIR 6 News and also in Albuquerque, NM at KOB-TV ( 1988 – 1989 ). In the end, Scott’s career-defining moment came when he joined 3TV.
In September 1989 Scott joined KTVK-TV 3 first as a reporter for 5 years on the streets then a few months after Good Morning Arizona was launched he shifted to the anchor chair and has been the lead anchor ever since.
