At the age of 24, Shanola started her acting career as a theatre actor in the musical ‘Gift’ at the ‘Tiffany Theatre’ in Hollywood. She played the role of ‘Daisy’ in the television series ‘Electra Woman and Dyna Girl’. She made a guest appearance in the sitcoms ‘Reba’, and ‘Popular’.
From 2002 to 2004, Hampton did minor roles in Miami Medical, ‘Pepper Dennis’, ‘Strong Medicine’, and many more. In 2012, She was featured in the television film ‘Christmas in the City’. She also participated in the TV reality show ‘Hell’s Kitchen’.
Before acting, for ten years, Hampton served as a bartender. In college, she quit drinking because she used to cry after drinking which embarrassed her.
For the game Left 4 Dead 2, Shanola has her face modeled for the character Rochelle. Her character of Kalinda Stepney in ‘Things Never Said’ was appreciated by the audience.
