Shea Whigham Career
Whigham began his career as a stage actor and co-founder of the Rorschach Group in New York City with his college buddy Kirk Acevedo. In 1997, he made his television debut in Ghost Stories, playing a tiny role.
His major break came in 2000 when he played Pvt. Wilson in Joel Schumacher’s military drama Tigerland. Shea went on to feature in several TV shows and films, including Submerged, All the Real Girls, Bad Company, Medical Investigation, Man of the House, Faith of My Fathers, Lords of Dogtown, and many more.
He gained prominence after director Joel Schumacher paired him opposite Colin Farrell in the 2000 military thriller Tigerland, his first significant cinematic role. He later rose to prominence for his roles in films and television shows such as All the Real Girls, True Detective, American Hustle, The Wolf of Wall Street, Vice, Pride and Glory, Splinter, Fast & Furious, Boardwalk Empire, Joker, and many others.
He starred in Fast & Furious, Fast & Furious 6, and F912 as Agent Michael Stasiak. He was an FBI agent who had a feud with Brian O’Conner and was frequently beaten by him. He then assisted Brian in infiltrating a prison to obtain information from Arturo Braga.
He was also revealed to be Owen Shaw’s former partner in a deleted scene from Fast & Furious 6. He is one of the few characters who appears in more than one film without being a member of the main cast.
