Suleman Dawood’s life was going well until June 2023, when everything changed. Suleman, according to sources on Sunday, June 18, set out on a risky mission to inspect the Titanic’s wreckage in the Atlantic Ocean.
They set out on a once-in-a-lifetime expedition onboard a submersible craft, accompanied by his father, Shahzada Dawood. Unfortunately, they lost touch with their submersible, leaving little information about their whereabouts.
Suleman and his father were joined on board the OceanGate submersible Titan by three other people. The abrupt disappearance of the submersible and the five people on board has created widespread anxiety and uncertainty.
Suleman Dawood set off on a spectacular voyage with his father, Shahzada, in June 2023 to examine the mythical Titanic debris. OceanGate arranged the voyage, and their vessel, the Titan, carried a crew of five, including the Dawoods, Hamish Harding, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and OceanGate founder Stockton Rush.
Tragically, contact with the submersible craft was lost abruptly, leaving a cloud of mystery over their location. At around 10 a.m. EST, the Titan received the last known communication while hovering over the Titanic debris, signaling the journey’s hazardous turn.
After losing communication, the US Coast Guard received a distress call. The Coast Guard’s Boston station promptly initiated an operation to carry out the most extensive submarine rescue mission ever attempted. Their efforts are aimed at locating and rescuing the crew, which includes Suleman Dawood and his father.
Despite the navy’s intensive search efforts, no significant clues have been discovered thus yet. According to Ryan Ramsey, an ex-Royal Navy Commander, the crew’s rescue may be impossible due to a lack of technology required for such a difficult search mission. The Atlantic Ocean’s merciless depths have posed substantial challenges to their safe recovery.
