T.J.’s coaching career commenced while he was still a student at the University of Oregon working from 2007 until 2008 as an undergraduate offensive intern. He worked as a student assistant working with the offense and quarterbacks from 2009 until 2011. T.J. served as an offensive intern working with quarterbacks in 2012.
The Philadelphia Eagles employed T.J. in 2013 to work as an offensive analyst under newly employed head coach Chip Kelly, who he coached with during his first time at Oregon. T.J. worked there until 2014. From 2015 until 2016 he worked at Oregon and after graduating from college he worked as a graduate assistant.
