Crowder was selected with the 255th and final pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, making him Mr. Irrelevant for the 2020 season. He was reunited with his former Georgia inside linebackers coach, Kevin Sherrer when he was drafted by the Giants. He was placed on the active/non-football injury list by the Giants on July 28, 2020, at the start of training camp. On August 9, he was activated. He missed the first week of the season due to a hamstring injury. He recovered a fumble forced by teammate Kyler Fackrell on Kyle Allen in Week 6 against the Washington Football Team and returned it for a 43-yard touchdown in a 20-19 victory.

He was placed on injured reserve on October 20, 2020, due to a hamstring injury. On November 28, 2020, he was activated.
