During his sophomore season, he again played with five starts at safety in all of the Seminoles games, completing the year with two pass breakups, a team-leading 91 tackles, and an interception. Hamsah As a junior he recorded two interceptions, three passes broken up, a fumble recovery, three forced fumbles, one sack, two tackles for loss, and 101 tackles prior to he suffered a leg injury against Florida.
In the 2021 NFL Draft Hamsah was drafted in the sixth round with the 186th overall pick by the New York Jets. On October 5 Hamsah was put on injured reserve and on November 4, 2021, he was activated. The Jets waived Hamsah on August 30, 2022, and the following day he signed to the practice squad. On December 17 Hamsah was elevated to the active roster. The Jets waived Hamsah on August 6, 2023.
